This year, Sony’s most selling and prodigious, “Xperia” series has picked up a lot of popularity in the Smartphone arena worldwide and after looking the sale and popularity of it’s high priced devices company has aimed to strengthen this series a bit more wisely as from it’s official Xperia blog we came to know that this Japanese giant is all set to introduce a new element under the same series which will be offered with almost similar specifications as of Sony Xperia Z however, company has mentioned to make this device available in the market at a much cheaper rate as compared to Sony Xperia Z. This new element will be dipped in mid range segment and named as, “Sony Xperia ZR”.

From the Sources, we also came to know that this device ie. Sony Xperia ZR is being worked upon under the Dogo codename and the Sony C550X. Now without dragging it much, let’s eye on to it’s specifications, Sony Xperia ZR will flaunts a descent but comparably low screen size than Xperia Z and will be featured with 4.6-inch HD Capacitive Touch Screen display with 720×1280 pixels resolutions. Dealing with it’s Platform dependency, Xperia ZR is expected to sail on Android but the operating system version remains ascertained. It will be powered with a Qualcomm quad core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, chipset is yet to be assured however, as per the rumors it will be either Snapdragon 600 series or Snapdragon S4 Pro.
