Intex Technologies, one of the leading phone handset and computer peripherals manufacturer in India has upgraded it’s smartphone portfolio by introducing a new handset in the arena of low cost Quad Core powered ranges of smartphones today. This handset will join Intex’s famous Aqua series of smartphones and the name of newly launched handset is “Intex Aqua I-5”.

Packed with some impressive specifications, the phone will be competing with Micromax’s recently launched A110Q Canvas 2 Plus phone and Xolo’s Q 1000. Intex Aqua I-5 will now cater the budget conscious smartphone user segment in India as it is an Android smartphone with a quad-core processor and is priced for Rs 11,690 only. Coming back towards it’s technical details and specifications, Intex Aqua I-5 sports a huge 5.0 inch of IPS qHD Capacitive Touch Screen display. The display resolution is 540x960p for this device which blender the display with ~220.29 of pixel density. Overall its a nice phone with good display.
Dealing with it’s Platform dependency, Intex Aqua I-5 sails on Android v4.2 Jelly Bean operating system powered with a quad core processor running at a clock speed of 1.2 GHz with support for SGX5T graphics engine. In terms of Storage specifications, this device is equipped with 1GB of RAM which makes the overall performance more smoother and gentle and it comes with 4GB of Internal memory which can be easily expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

Briefing it’s Photography specifications, this device is offered with both the primary and secondary snapper options. On it’s back, it include a primary snapper rated at 12 MEGAPIXEL and on it’s front it has been installed with a secondary snapper rated at 2 MEGAPIXEL for video chatting. To lure the user with nice experience of photography on this device, company has added some camera features such as auto focus and LED flash technology.

Intex Aqua supports Dual Sim with Dual Standby technology in which one SIM slot supports 2G network and while the other one for 3G network. Enumerating it’s Connectivity specifications, Intex Aqua I-5 supports 2G,3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and a 3.5mm Audio jack.
To give life in the device, it is equipped with 2000mAh of battery.

Intex is currently offering 12 mid-segment smartphones under its Aqua range and has drawn out plans to launch 20 more smartphones in the coming quarter. The company also shared that it plans to sell two million Aqua smartphones in the current financial year.
