Domestic firm based in Bangalore named, “Notion Ink” has announced it’s new entrant in the gadgetp industry which is their second tablet in the same series which gained a lot of popularity earlier in Decemeber 2010. Company’s first device named Adam in tablet segment was in news for its hyped performance for a quite while.
This new edition in the Adam series named as “Adam II” will be released for the sale in the upcoming months in which the company has offered it with a new dual display technology. Company shrugged off the launch of this device at a function organized for National Technology Awards 2013 in New Delhi. When we are seeing other brands launching gadgets one after another, why Adam Ink took so much time to launch their next tablet, the reasion is that “Adam” was beset by a number of controversies and delays since its pre order launch in December 2010. These included shipping problems, confusion over the specifications of the machine, reportedly poor customer support and questionable build quality.
Shifting away from above discussion and specifying the details of Adam II, in terms of frame up Adam II is offered with two screens, the normal screen flaunts a huge 10.1 inch of IPS touch screen display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution and the other one ie. secondary is a STN ( Super-twisted nematic display) on the back which can be used to see all the notifications or contextual data when main screen of the device is busy in other tasks. Dealing with it’s Platform dependency, this device runs on Android v4.2.2 (latest version) Jelly Bean Operating system powered with a Dual Core Cortex A-9 processor clocked at 1.5GHz. In terms of storage specifications, this device is equipped with 1GB of RAM whereas the information regarding it’s internal storage or memory up to which it can be expanded is not known.
“The main focus this time is on the design of the device as compared to specifications. Specifications have saturated now. Adding more cores doesn’t mean anything. We will have a very unique design with two displays!,” said the media team of the company.
Enumerating the device Photography specifications, Adam II is offered with both the primary and secondary camera. On it’s back it is equipped with a primary camera rated at 2 MEGAPIXEL and on it’s front a secondary camera rated at same 2 MEGAPIXEL has been installed for video chatting. Briefing it’s connectivity support, Adam II support all the usual connectivity options like Wifi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, HDMI output and a microSD card slot.
To Power it up, this device is equipped with 6000 mAh of battery which the company claims will be able to deliver an acceptable backup.
