Microsoft Surface Pro launch date and price and information revealed

Microsoft has finally unveiled the specifications and the price of it’s yet to be launch product,”Microsoft Surface Pro”. Microsoft Surface Pro will be offered in two variants including 64 GB and 128 GB versions powered with Intel-based Surface. Microsoft will start the shipping of it’s new product,”Microsoft Surface Pro” from the upcoming fiscal year 2013 in the month of January.

Microsoft Surface Pro will feature 10.6-inch ClearType Full HD Display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it will be 10-point multi-touch (16:9) wide-screen. Microsoft Surface Windows 8 Pro will runs current Windows 7 desktop applications and integrates with your existing enterprise management infrastructure, it will be powered with 3rd Gen Intel Core i5 Processor with Intel HD Graphics 4000. Dealing in terms of Camera Optics, Microsoft Surface Pro will be equipped with two 720p HD LifeCams, front- and rear-facing with TruColor. In terms of Connectivity, Microsoft Surface Pro will support Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy technology.

General Manager of Microsoft,”Panos Panay”said,” that both models will come packed with Windows 8 Pro, and a Surface pen with Palm Block technology. They’ll also be compatible with the Touch Cover and Type Cover (sold separately), and share some of the same features seen with the current Windows RT tablets including the Dark Titanium VaporMg casing, dual 2×2 MIMO antennas, and the kickstand.

Dealing with Storage Specifications, Microsoft Surface Pro tablet will baptized with 64 GB and 128 GB, with that they do offer 4 GB of RAM-Dual Channel Memory. To power it up, Microsoft Surface Pro will be powered with 42 W of battery that claims to deliver 4 hours of battery life at most, first ever in any Intel based hardware. One of the most special feature will be Pen Input option that will be included with purchase.

“Surface with Windows 8 Pro will support Pen input,” Panay said. “This is an amazing feature for all you note-takers or document editors out there, especially since it has expanded capacitive and digitizing technology we are calling Palm Block that will prevent your handwriting from getting interrupted if you accidentally place your palm on the screen as you write. This feature is pretty cool, and allows for a great inking experience alongside a great touch experience when needed.”

Other features, it includes Full-size USB 3.0, microSDXC card slot, Headset jack, Mini Display Port, Cover port. Sensors(Ambient light sensor,Accelerometer,Gyroscope,Compass). Some of the pre-loaded applications Windows Mail and Messaging,SkyDrive,Internet Explorer 10,Bing,Xbox Music, Video, and Games with 1-year limited hardware warranty. Price for 64 Gb version is $899 and for 128GB SSD version.

Hopefully Microsoft’s direct forray in to Hardware segment through these tablets will help them to regain some ground they were eventually loosing because of advancement of brands like Apple and Samsung.
