Micromax A116 Canvas Quad Core budget mobile phone announced

Micromax, domestic manufacturer counted amongst top tycoon in India has officially announced the successor of Micromax A110 by filling a slot higher in it’s premium Smartphone segment with,” Micromax A116″ probably named as Canvas HD in the Indian market. Canvas HD will be among bunch of other high powered smartphones in the country provided by other brands in premium prices.

Under the belly, Micromax A116 sports a 5 inch IPS Touch screen display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. This device will run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Operating System powered with a Quad Core Cortex A7 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz , Chipset MediaTek MT6589, GPU PowerVR Series5XT. And as usual with all Micromax phones, this device supports Dual Sim (Mini-Sim) technology and support 2G Network GSM 900 / 1800 – SIM 1 & SIM 2, 3G Network with HSDPA 210. However, details about it’s dimensions is yet to be disclosed. Speaking about it’s Connectivity Specifications, Canvas HD will support GPRS with EDGE Connectivity, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP and a micro USB v2.0. However, it will be helpful for Net addicited folks as it will offer downloading speed HSDPA 42 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps.

Commenting on the launch and association with MediaTek, Deepak Mehrotra, Chief Executive Officer, Micromax said, “At Micromax, we constantly strive to innovate and develop great technological experiences for our consumers. Enumerating the device Photography specifications, Micromax Canvas HD support a primary camera placed at 8 MEGAPIXEL with a resolution of nearby 3264 x 2448 pixels condemned with autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, and face detection techniques and a secondary VGA camera. Briefing it’s Storage Specifications, Micromax Canvas HD packed up with 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory which can be easily extendable up to 32 GB via micro SD card.

In terms of Battery specifications, Canvas HD equipped with 2100 mAh battery which is a bit higher then it’s predecessor a bit more can be expected.
