Konica Minolta, one of the leading company which strives to offer image information products headquartered in Marunouchi, Japan has upgraded it’s portfolio in the Indian market. Company has now entered for the first time into A4 printers category. Recently, at an official press event announced by the company they had revealed the all new A4 category products. The launched had been done at Gurgaon, Banglore and Kochi, all these cities are counted among the most popular metropolitan cities in India.
From the launch of these new monochorome and color series of A4 printer, Konica Minolta is looking to build its presence in the Indian market. It was also reported that the OEM has also appointed three new partners in the Haryana, Bangalore and Kochi regions of the country – PG Micro Systems Pvt. Ltd , Positive Systems and Anugraha Agencies.
Shifting the concentration towards the launch of the day, these new range of printers by Konica Minolta has been launched under two categories, Monochrome series and Color Series. For the Monochrome series, 5 different printers has been introduced and for the color series 8 different printers were released. All the printers comes iwth new IDC sensors and new color control. In terms of design, all the models features compact size, advanced user controls. The overall design of these printers are integrated to easily assemble into any small office or home.

Ltd., said: “These new A4 series range are set to take our printing solutions offering in Indian Market to new dimensions. Both the home segment and small offices are set to benefit from these products with competitive prices and low cost of operation.”
Enumerating the specifications and technical details of the launch products under this series:
Pagepro 1500W: As the named suggest Pagepro is a 1500W Monochrome Laser printer which is capable of printing 21 papers per minute which makes it quite fast. In terms of memory, it comes iwth 8MB of internal memory option and supports A4, Legal, Letter, B5, A5, A6 & Executive Media Sizes.
Pagepro 1590MF: Another Monochrome Laser printer which is capable of printing 24 paper within a minute which clearly shows that it runs faster as compare to the earlier one Pagepro 1500W. The memory size of this printer is also big, it comes with 32 MB memory and can be used for A4, Letter, B5, A5, A6, Executive, Legal, Folio & Monarch format printing. It also comes with a CCD Image sensor, flat bed scanner.
Bizhub 3300P: Third in the list of monochrome laser printer where high productivity meets intuitive ease of use. Enumerating its speed optics, it has a printing speed as high as 35 papers per minute and memory capacity of 128 MB. Besides supporting A6 to A4 media sizes, it also supports custom paper sizes.
Magicolor 1600W: It is a Color Laser Printer. It supports memory size of 16 MB and printing speed of 20ppm for monochrome printing and 5 ppm for color printing. Support of media size includes A4, A5, and Legal, Letter, Envelope, DL, B5 & custom size of 92 – 216 X 184 – 356 mm.
Magicolor 1650 EN: It is an another variant of Magicolor 1600W which houses the same speed except the memory capacity. In this the memory capacity is of 256 MB.
Magicolor 1680MF: It is a Color Laser Printer. This printer chunks out printing speed of 20ppm for monochrome printing and 5 ppm for colour printing. Briefing it’s storage support, it has a memory capacity of 64 MB and supports A4, A5, B5, Letter, Legal, envelope C6, Envelope DL & Custom paper sizes of 92 – 216 mm X 184 – 356mm. It also comes with a CCD Image Sensor, flat bed scanner. Thus, Magicolor 1680MF is one compact system for a home’s every need.
Magicolor 1690MF : It is an another variant of 1680MF which houses 128 MB memory capacity and an added fax machine. This fax machine has a speed of 3sec per page.
These A4 range printers by Konica Minolta are available in the market and are priced between 5,000 INR and 40,000 INR. Let’s see after proving its metal in the Production Printers and Colour Printers category will they receive success in A4 printing technology or not.
