It is said company may delay the launch by December 2016 in order to achieve better and more stable network in order to get strong first impression. But on the other hand, Reliance Jio has started shipping SIM cards to their store and it is news that they will provide SIM card readily with LYF handset (their own mobile handset brand) but will delay standalone SIM card distribution. The SIM coupled with LYF handset will have various data benefit including 40GB free initial data with 10GB usage each month.

Further Jio Mi-Fi devices ie. data sharing devices will be available at a relatively low prices, around Rs 700-800 to intensify the competition. The operator will be offering these devices with 40GB of data with three months of validity. Users will get a range of options for data packs, between 40GB and 200GB with three months of validity.

There are also reports for relatively cheaper voice plan as initially Reliance Jio will look to grab as much market share as possible. There are many analysis for effect of Reliance Jio launch, apparently it will increase India’s global position in internet share and possible will also increase mobile data penetration.
