Another blast in the arena of Quad Core powered handsets by the Chinese manufacturer, “UMI”. Company has launched it’s another quad core powered device labelled as, “UMI X1s” in the Smartphone market of India. UMI X1s is an entry level budgeted quad core handset.

Popping up it’s second element under the quad core hub its looks like company has strongly aimed to strengthen it’s portfolio and encompass it’s network extension in the techno-hub of the country. Viewing the towards its specifications, UMI X1s sports 4.5 inch HD screen with 1280×720 pixels resolution and with 5 point multi touch facility and supports 16M of colors. To get the screen protected form scratches these device has been encumbered with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Dealing with it’s Platform dependency, UMI X1s runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Operating System powered with a MTK6589 Quad core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. Opening the graphics unit, this device support PowerVR SGX 544 MP GPU card, which copulate nice multitouch gaming experience. Usual feature incorporated in most of the recently launched smartphones, this device also support Dual Sim with Dual Standby technology. Specifying it’s Storage supports, UMI X1s equipped with 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of Internal memory which can be easily expanded up to 64 Gb via microSD card slot.

In terms of Image Optics, this device support primary camera rated at 8 MEGAPIXEL AF camera offered with LED flash technology which helps the user to capture images even in the dark vision, it also supports a secondary camera rated at 2 MEGAPIXEL with full HD video recording and playback supported. Briefing it’s Connectivity support, UMI X1s has 3G, 2G (class 12), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB, 3.5mm jack and GPS.
